The big breakthrough
Their big breakthrough came with the album “Dookie” in 1994. It was recorded in 3 weeks, and became a commercial success with songs like “Longview”, “Basket Case”, and “When I Come Around”. Green Day went trough a change with the album “Nimrod” which came out in 1997. After the guys got married and started families it was time to get a little more mature without loosing what’s already worked musicwise. The result was a variety of music, from pop-punk, surf rock and ska, to an acoustic ballad. Songs like “Nice Guys Finish Last”, “Hatchin’ a Ride”, “Redundant, and the award winning “Good Riddance” (Time of Your Life) lifted Green Day up yet a notch of popularity.

The Comeback

After several years of not playing, the seventh studio album came out in 2004 with the title”American Idiot”. This record was the first to hit the lists in America and in the UK. Get ready to groove with the bestselling punk-pop band in the history. The ticket sale starts 4^th of May.
